Weird taste when eating ketchup/mustard.....?

I know this is a very strange question..! This started two days ago when I was eating french fries with ketchup.. the ketchup tasted very odd to me, almost like it had a chemical in it. Everyone else that was eating the meal with me said it tasted normal. I could even smell it! I chalked it up to the fact that I was getting over bronchitis; however, last night I was eating something with honey mustard, and the same thing happened. Not only did it taste terrible (again, like a chemical), but it smelled like it, too. My husband insisted that it smelled normal to him. This happened at two entirely different restaurants. Does anyone know what this could be..???
