What was your experience with the student program People to People like?

You mean being an exchange student ? Are you going with the Rotary or AFS ? You should just enjoy yourself while you're in an exchange program, maximize your potential, don't be scared. If you're going to a European or Asian country there will be a little problem with the language but don't worry about it because after 3 or 4 months you won't be facing the same problem again. It's actually a great chance being an exchange student, you will have so many friends from around the world and you could use the opportunity to travel in a country that you've never been in it. But you will have to adapt to a new culture, language, people with different thoughts, school, friends, and everything else. So prepare yourself before you leave your country. Well, yes most of the exchange students live with multiple host families but that's nothing to be worried about, as long as you stay in their circle of trust and you don't make many problems, you will be okay. And of course no you can't live with your friend in the same house because the philosophy of an exchange program is you have to start over again from 0 and you won't be living with what you have right now (friends, family, pets) so imagine you will live in a brand-new world where opportunities don't seek for you but it's you who have to look for those opportunities.
