Can the diesel from a Dodge Sprinter be fit into a minivan?

I have a 98 Plymouth Grand Voyager. Is it possible for the 5 cyl. diesel used in the Sprinter to be retro-fit? That thing gets decent mileage and there is the possibility of stretching the usage with vegetable oil. So, do any of you master-mechanics think it is possible?
